Question about Pets:My zebra finches are nesting?

Zebra finches will start nesting as soon as they get in the cage, even if its 2 females. It doesn't mean they are breeding yet. They may also lay infertile eggs, like chickens. Zebra finches will also start breeding right away, so don't be too surprised if they are. Also, make sure you have enough space for 8 birds
Used to have 2 Zebra finches (females)

Can someone tell me why the parents of the baby cockatiels wont care for it after its hatched? (previous)
