| Question about Pets:How long does it take for a birds feathers to come back in? |
I also adopted a bird, a Blue and Gold Macaw...he plucked for a long time afterward. It usually takes about 1-2 weeks for the feathers to grow in completely. If you notice that they aren't growing...that means your bird keeps plucking them. There's not much you can do if it's a trait that they learned from before you had the bird. You never know how badly neglected or abused they were before they came to your home. Just love your bird with or without feathers.
