Question about Pets:How do I get y pet bird to bond with me?

i spend a lot of time,holding my Senegal parrot. i did this every day,for many weeks !! she holds onto my finger,and i just lay her on her back !! she still has a grip on my finger,but she just lays there.when she had enough she will get up on her own.while she is laying on her back,she even goes to sleep sometimes !
