| Question about Pets:Help with a baby animal? |
Get some mealworms! They're great for baby birds. If you get live ones, make sure you cut the tips off each end as they can eat through a baby bird's stomach. If you get dried ones (easier to find), soak them in water before you feed the bird. Birds don't drink unless they're very dehydrated, they get most of their moisture from juicy insects and grubs.
Don't handle him too much, and feed him with tweezers. Unless you want a pet pigeon, don't let him get too attached!
Feel free to email me with any questions as he grows older.
I used to work in a wild animal refuge, baby birds came and went ALL the time!
