| Question about Pets:I cant keep my quaker parrots water clean. ARG |
go to your local pet store and either in the bird section or in the section where they have food and toys for ginnea pigs, mice etc. You'll find Water bottles that just screw onto the cage really easily. they're only about 5 bucks.
Put the Water Bottle directly over the water dish for about a week and your parrot will become pecuilar alomost immediatley as to what this is and go to play with it. when he realizes water comes out of it he will play with it for a while.
After about a week you can remove the dish and now you have a water bottle trained quaker parrot.
I did this with my eclectus and my african grey.
it's much better for them so they don't poop or get other objects into their water and get themselves ill.
