Ladyhawke was a Red-tailed Hawk.
"Audubon Ambassadors (our glove-trained raptors) have touched the hearts of so many humans! Ladyhawke, especially, was one bird that touched thousands and thousands of hearts throughout her life. Not nearly a week would go by that an Audubon visitor would be moved to tears when they met Ladyhawke. Every comment was always the same: ”that was my favorite movie!? She had a featured role in the 1985 film “Ladyhawke? starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Broderick. Ladyhawke arrived at the Center in 2000, who until then worked at Universal Studios in the bird show with the stage name of Spike II. She touched lives, thousands of them! And like all our favorite movies she will live on forever in our memories and in our hearts!
The Center is asking for memorial adoptions in memory of Ladyhawke to support the ambassador birds who reside at the Center and the education and outreach programs that touch so many lives."
