| Question about Pets:What should i do to forget about my dead bird? |
Let yourself have time to grieve for your bird. When a pet dies, it really is a loss.
To help you do something positive at this time, you might like to do something that will be a kindness to the birds around the place you live. It can be something as simple as putting some food out--there are easy to use bird foods that don't require a lot of effort to put out. Even some crackers, bread or fruit from your house would be a treat for them.
If you'd like to do more, put out a source of water for them. If you want to put some money into it, buy a little bird bath. If you want to do something less expensive, a clay saucer with water in it, up out of danger of cats and other critters would be nice for them. Plant a flower nearby that reminds you of your pet.
The answer isn't to forget your pet, but to cherish the memories and go on to make new memories.
Feel better, please.
