| Question about Pets:I need help with my parakeets ? |
well first of all is your birds wings clipped? if there not, get them clipped theres nothing better to tame a bird than clipping its wings, now make sure you dont clip the wings though because they hold a grudge to whoever does it. take it to a pet store, there do it for you. and my bird [ yes its a parakeet ] took the lady at the store like 15-20 minutes JUST TO GET IT OUT OF THE CAGE! and then seh clipped its wings and and jumped on my hand and stayed there. and i took her home and she jumped on my finger the first time i tryed and i have loved her ever since i play with hours everyday. so what i will tell you to do, is go get its wings clipped, and if your scared to hld the bird, use stick training first, then after it has step up, start using your hands. [ stick training is exactly what it sounds like, you get a stick and hold it and have the bird jump on it and then you can take the bird out of the cage easier. so i hope this helped and good luck with you parakeet!
