I have experience with them, also have a baby that's weaned , hatched the 1st day of spring this year for sale, she's $950.
Their diet being different is because they have a longer intestinal tract, so they just need more fruit and veggies than other birds require. <the land of Vos.com>has recipes and just about any other info you are seeking on eclectus parrots. It also has a mailing list where you can get together and learn from other ekkie owners. I put their mixture in a small food processor to chop it each day. Variety is good for them, so it varies , berries, vegatables fruit, and extra carrots(cooked) and micro-ed sweet potato keep them with the extra vitamin A they require.
