Question about Pets:Parrotlet has splayed legs.?

If he does the same thing on carpet, I would worry. I believe, in answer to your question about taking him to the vet, that is never a mistake. Even if you find that absolutely nothing is wrong it gives a good baseline for health. If they came from the same breeder, especially the same brood, it is likely that if one is splayed, both could be.
All of my birds do the splits on my kitchen table (high gloss) and on my new laminate floors. Try putting a towel on the table and landing the birds on it. Try enough attempts that you can rule out faulty landings. Allow them time on the table to get used to the slippery surface as well. See if they recover from landing splayed to standing tall. It may just take getting used to.

How do I keep my apartment clean with two parakeets? (previous)
Can i house a tiel with a green cheek conure if their bopth handfed? (next)
