| Question about Pets:Are there different breeds of gerbils? |
If you are talking about pet gerbils they are all Mongolian gerbils, there are no breeds or types or variations.
There are though about 20 colors of gerbils including siamese, yellow fox, and silver nutmeg.

Gerbils can also be spotted some having more white than color called mottled.

Other species that are related to gerbils and make nice pets too are fat tailed jirds (duprasi) and bushy tailed jirds.
