| Question about Pets:I have two huge trees in my backyard, they are full of birds making messes, how do I get rid of them? |
Check at a farm supply store. They often have several things to get rid of birds. They sometimes have the owl statues that were mentioned before. Hunting stores sell them as decoys sometimes. These can work . Another thing is a sticky substance that you coat the branches with, and birds hate.
Our town uses recorded hawk calls played periodically to drive birds away from the courthouse.
You can also but a substance called "Bitters" from a pet shop. Spray the tree with it. Supposedly it tastes so bad that birds will do anything to avoid it. If you can't find it at a pet store try DrsFosterSmith.com
