| Question about Pets:Are there really egg sellers out there who arent scammers |
Good egg sellers are reluctant to sell to anyone.
Have you considered a baby just picked from the nest for hand rearing? You may have better chances with this.
I know you say you've done this before but exactly which eggs have you done before? & which are you intending on doing now? The species of the bird varies a great deal. They aren't all a piece of cake to do. Med to large are getting to the harder to rear & wean.
Also with a toddler, you should know the baby bird will keep you up through the night with feeds for some time & a toddler up all day...not saying it sin't a good idea for you, there are many home mums that do this successfully & love it.
Now for the species, you should pick a species first. Do some looking up on it & make sure the bird is suitable to your house, you & your lifestyle & toddlers & young children as some aren't.
I DO encourage parrot owners with toddlers to have their toddlers & children get very involved, even while other people don't recommend it. This was done to me, it taught me responsibility & how to properly care for them at an early age. It also taught us very quickly what the consiquences were for being irresponsible or silly.
Good luck in your search.
