| Question about Pets:I have 2 cockatiels but am unsure of the sex of one.? |
If you remember the tiel in question as a juve then as a general rule, once matured the males lose their pearl markings however, these days the newer brreds or pearls have been known to not lose their marking as males.
Guessing from the behaviour you're describing you may well have a male & female but since you do have a pearl for around 40 bucks you can get a DNA done it to find out for sure or, you can wait 28 days & see if the eggs start to hatch.
How do you tell the sex of a cockatiel? (previous)
