| Question about Pets:What is the crazest thing your pet has done and what are they? |
My husky mix had very bad separation anxiety when he was little. One day I went to lunch with my mother. I put him in the bathroom because if I left him out he would make a mess trying to look out the windows to find me.
I came back not even an hour later. I opened the bathroom door and began to say at the top of my lungs "Oh my god!!!". My mother was going "What? What?" until my very wet puppy went running past her and out into the back yard through the door she had opened for him.
We both stood in horror as we realized that he had managed to knock the toilet lid into the tank. A geyser of water was shooting three feet up in the air. The floor had two inches of water covering it. There were puppy prints almost to the ceiling where he had climbed up on top of the counter to try to get away from the water.
After cleaning up the mess I called my best friend the vet tech almost hysterical. After she got enough out of me to figure out what happened she had me buy a large crate and got me a perscription for Clomacalm (for the dog not me but it was close). After six months of crate training and pills he was finally calm enough that I could leave him in the house without incidence.
This totally over shadows him eating the siding on the house, the edges off the deck, and everything not nailed down in the backyard. But really I love him to death. And I've got a great story to tell.
