| Question about Pets:What would you pay for a female cockatiel thats never laid eggs? |
That would depend on the age of the bird. If she has never laid eggs and has always been alone (no male around) but is now too old 8-10 then she should not be purchased for breeding purposes. But if she is still young enough to breed then the type of cockatiel would decide the price. Plain grays are very common. Lutinos, Pearls, Silvers, and Pieds are more expensive. Cinnamons are very rare and costly. If she is a good pet ,age doesn't matter but a reputable pet shop usually only sells younger birds 1-2 years old. If I was purchasing it from a friend and knew the bird 15-20 would be reasonable. Most common cockatiels sell for over 60 in the pet shops. It all depends on the age of the bird the type of cockatiel, and why you or whoever wants it.
