| Question about Pets:When do Linnies stop breeding? |
Go on some of the Yahoo Groups and search for Linnies or similar birds. Most people know nothing about Linnies, or even what they are. They are not the easiest birds to breed. Have yours been breeding?? You are lucky!! You should be able to sell the babies easily through some of the bird Groups on Yahoo.
If you're asking when they will STOP, do you have a nestbox in there? Take it out and they should stop. I hope you have been giving them plenty of cooked eggshell or Cuttlebone. Laying eggs takes a lot of calcium, and a hen can get eggbound , or very run down, if she is not getting extra calcium. She should also have gotten eggfood to feed to her chicks. It's not fair or healthy to just hope they wean the babies with only birdseed. Barb Cole
