Question about Pets:My poor cockatiel?

With this being a follow-up visit, I doubt that he will have to stay overnight. One never knows though.
Blood drawing is always stressful on a Cockateil. They have so little blood to begin with. X-rays should not be too bad as long as he is not in full panic mode.

Have you put a light bulb near his cage to help him stay warm? I would place it roughly one and a half feet from the cage, depending upon the wattage of the bulb. You want him to be warmed but not overheated. You might consider placing a towel over half the cage to act as a shaded area. That way he can show you whether he is too hot or not, by going into the shades ares if he starts to overheat.
You might want to give his some nice warm "Comfort food" after his visit to the vet. Lukewarm( not hot) pasta, or macaroni and cheese would be good. Or some vegetable soup with pasta or rice. The soft warm food can raiser a Cockateils spirits when it is feeling down.
Of course some treats will be in order too for the poor guy!

Good luck to you and Travis.
