Question about Pets:Does anyone have cockatiels?

It might be from mating or it could be the male picks slightly on the female or there was another bird with them before you got those two it's hard to know. Ideal food would be something that is not just a seed diet, try to find one that has pellets and even some freezed dried fruits and veggies in the bag. They also will need lots of extra calcium and nutrients now to replace what goes into making the eggs and once the babies are born feeding them. A cuttlebone and mineral block in the cage should work, if the female is looking a little worn out even add some cooked scrambled egg (no oils or butter in the egg) to the food (sounds weird I know but eggs are GREAT protein, and you can crush the shells to sprinkle over food also as added calcuim) also fresh fruits, vegetables (dark leafy greens like kale, escarole, collard greens great for calcium) will help provide variety and fresh nutrients right to your birds.
