| Question about Pets:I have a male and female cockatiel that just layed eggs at the bottom of their cage. do i make a nest for them |
NO NO and NO, leave them alone. If you move them now they will not bother with them. You have 3 eggs, it's not like they have one egg. This means you allow 6 days to go by, yes it took 6 days for them to lay those 3 eggs, where was anyone to notice there were eggs in the cage??
At this point if you move the eggs, your chances are slim to none that she will even sit on the eggs now. To top it off she'll only relay those eggs if you move them and place them in a box because she'll think you took her eggs, and this will calcium deplete her.
Just leave the eggs alone and give her privacy. If she hasn't cracked or broken the eggs up till now, she won't. Feed water and leave her be. The more you bother her and those eggs, the less likly you will have of having any of them hatch.
Just leave her be!!! I can't stress this enough. Mark down on the calendar when the eggs are laid. There may be a total of 5 eggs laid. Wait 21 days from the last egg laid, if they don't hatch, remove all the eggs and return to normal routine.
Good Luck!
