Question about Pets:How do I get my parrot to love me again?

Rough how? Poked him? Hit him? Any physical roughness is veyr traumatic to a bird adn it may take to you awhile to gian trust. i tonly takes seconds to ruin years worth of trust. You have to start from square one. Restart the bonding process. Offer treats, and be as near to him as he will elt you go. Talk to him and encourage him to come to with treats and little foot toys he may like. If you can pet him, do so and praise him as if he had just saved the world as you do so. Use food as well. It will probalby take month mimimum to start to get your bond back but in about 2 weeks you should be able to touch him. For now while you're working on turst use a perch to work on the step up and step down command. This is a good trust/training time as well as exercise. Best of luck. But remember birds never ever understand physical abuse. hitting or even hard poking or flicking can harm a bond...Remember to be patient and kind. Hope things turn out well.
