| Question about Pets:Is cockatiel right? |
If you're worried about noise, DON'T GET A BIRD AT ALL.
No matter female or male, any kind of bird will scream.
Males will sing and whistle.
Females are supposedly more quiet.
But when my female cockatiel gets excited, or when I am out of sight, or when I am about to leave her in her cage and go out, or when she wants attention, she screeches like hell.
It's not a constant screech though. But when it does happen, the screeching lasts for about 5 minutes or so with my bird.
Either way, you still need to devote time and love to a bird. I love mine, and I've had almost-deaf moments in one ear from her screaming while on my shoulder.
