Question about Pets:Help with cockatiel?

Be patient, 4 days is still too early for your new baby. I have four cockatiels and each one I brought home was a little different. I don't think that any of them took to me immediatley, it took at least a week or two. I know that sounds like a long time but right now you shouldn't be doing anything more then talking to your bird and giving him food/water. Don't even try to put your hand in the cage or take him out, he is just not ready yet.

If this is your only bird you will start to notice that he follows your lead. I mean that he will eat when you eat, sleep when you sleep, ect. Basically he will take up with his new flock. By flock I mean you and your family.

good luck with your new baby.
