| Question about Pets:Do small call ducks kept as pets fly away? |
If you do decide to clip its wings, its probably best if you take it to someone who has done it before for the first time, so that you can see what to do. Birds have blood feathers among their ordinary ones, and if you cut this, the duck will bleed heavily. Once you know which feathers to cut, you should be able to do this on your own without any problems.
Cutting feathers on a bird is not painful. Its like having your hair cut.
One tip though - only clip one wing. If you clip both, they can still fly!
