| Question about Pets:I NEED HELP with my lovebirds? |
From what i know from personal exprierence is that bird need time to adjust when being brought into a new enviornment. A love bird is a great bird to have if you want it to become affectionate but it takes longer than a couple of weeks. I know as humans we want instant gratification in our fast paced world. With birds it takes time. Spend time with your birds every day. You have to remember that you stole them from their enviorment and home in their eyes. The are going to bond with you eventually but need to do it in their own time and cannot be forced. If i have learned anything it is that birds have somuch personality that you cannot try to make them show. Spend time doing caretaker things for them. keep thier cage clean, give them special treats on certain days. When you are home leave the cage door open so they know you are inviting them into your space. Let them come out of their cage first and the relationship will get moving faster.
