| Question about Pets:Can two male bourke parakeets be kept in the same indoor cage? |
As long as the cage is big enough for them and they don't have to be anywhere near each other if they don't want.
Bourke's parakeets are one of the sweetest and gentlest parrots out there, but still keep an eye on them. Some individuals just don't get along.
The safest way to go about this is first have them in side by side cages so that they can get to know each other... maybe for a week or so.
With the cage you are placing them in, if one of them already lives in it, take him out and rearrange all the perches, toys, etc to make it look like a new cage. This will turn it into new 'territory'.
Put them both in at the same time.
Good luck. :)
