Question about Pets:What do you do when a bird burns himself?

If the bulb was hot enough to harm him, he would have gotten off of it quickly. All creatures flee when they are being burned. So perhaps the bulb wasn't heated up when he sat on it.
Go to a pharmacy and get some 100% pure aloe gel. It is safe for burns, great for burns and good for his skin. You can put some gel on his feet. Also put some on your finger!!
If he is having any trouble walking tomorrow, or seems to have irritated skin on his feet, then get him to an Avian Vet right away!
Make sure that the gel is 100% pure, otherwise it may have additives that will harm him.
If you have a store like Walmart that is open late, call them and ask them if they have any live Aloe plants. You just have to break off one of the fleshy leaves and smear the juice on the feet( and finger).
I wouldn't use burn cream, as you don't know what it will do to the bird if he licks it off his feet.

Good Luck!
