Question about Pets:How many lovebirds can live together?

Six is way too many. Horizontal space is more important than verticle space for birds, since they always will prefer to be in the highest spot in the cage. 30x24" is not enough horizontal space for that many birds. Two is more like it. In fact, it's a little on the small side for a pair.

Also, before you decide to keep multiple lovebirds together, ask yourself if you intend to keep them as pets that you expect to be tame and interact with you. If you want pets that will love you, then keep a single, handfed lovebird, purchased at a young age, and interact with it on a daily basis. If you decide to keep two birds together (please do not put any more than that in that cage), then also keep an eye on them when you first put them together, as lovebirds don't always get along with each other, and they have been known to have damaging fights if two incompatable birds are placed together. I once knew a person whose male lovebird had his foot chewed off by a female who didn't like him - so, as you can see, the stereotypes surrounding lovebirds aren't true.
