| Question about Pets:When is the best time of the year to get a bird? |
I agree with the previous answers -- BEFORE you get any bird, do some serious research. Also ask your parents two questions: how much mess can they tolerate? and how much NOISE can they tolerate? Conures are among the noisiest birds you can get. Even little green cheeks can get irritating if you don't like chatter.
ALL birds are messy, and I don't just mean the poop factor. Can you stand having bird seed and other food scattered everywhere?
I've got three birds and a heavy duty shop vac, because I can tolerate any mess as long as I can clean it up.
