Question about Pets:Cockateils scared or just stubborn

You bought untamed birds and it takes time and patients to tame them. You need to take them out and work with them one on one. I have one like that and I catch her and hold her to my chest and scratch her head and talk to her. She has gone from totally untouchable to I don't want to be touched but if I have to I will. I have 3 others that fly to me and stick to me like velcro. The difference is they were hand feed and hand tamed. I got my first in a rescue and the others were born here. It makes a difference and you should get them from a breeder that hand feeds and hand tames. If they only hand feed it isn't the same. But is better than parent raised as they have bonded to birds and not humans. When you do start to work with them make sure the wings are clipped and it will be easier.
