Question about Pets:I found a baby bird in my yard

The whole "human smell" on birds thing is a MYTH. Just because you pick up the bird doesn't mean that the mother won't accept the baby anymore. If the bird looks injured then take it to a vet. If not put it somewhere safe where the mother bird will have access to it, but where neighbourhood cats won't be able to get it.
