| Question about Pets:Can I switch my lovebirds eggs for cockteils eggs to trick the lovebirds into incubating them? |
It should work, go ahead and give it a try. As long as both birds feed their young the same way, it should work. I do this all the time with my pigeons and doves, when I end up with a pair of the same sex. Both species feed their young with crop milk, so it should work. If not, it was worth a try.
Just take the eggs from the tiels and quickly switch them with the lovebirds, then leave the room so you don't scare them.
Hope that helped!
