| Question about Pets:Maroon bellied conure mutations |
I have not seen this mutation. There are many mutations in Green cheek conures but rare in Maroon Bellied. We have a mutation that we have always considered to be Olive. However a renowned mutation breeder from Europe has told us they aren't and furthermore he has no idea what they are. I will add at this point that I am the daughter of the largest breeder of endangered parrots in Europe, so we konw our stuff. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
I also have to add that having bred several hundred if not thousands of various breeds of conure over the past 20 years I find the comment that they need a special diet quite untrue
