| Question about Pets:Does any body know about cockatiel eggs? |
All eggs have an air sac if they are fertile or not. Even if they are two males or two females they will still act like they are mating if they are kept together long enough. It's what nature does.
If they are a pair, and you say you caught them copulating, It don't mean they will be fertile either. The female will control whether she lays fertile eggs. So that means if conditions are right, like not to busy around her cage, and you are not peeking in the box all the time, they will hatch. So keep out of the box and just listen for the sounds.
Best thing to do is, just leave them alone. Water, feed and give them privacy. Even after they hatch, just leave them alone. The survival rate will be much higher if you just let them be. If you interfere to much, she might kill the chicks because she will fear they are in danger.
Another note, if you keep a light on the eggs to long, you can kill the embryo's, by cooking them.
Good Luck!
