Take your bird to the vet and they will clip his wings and toe nails. Teach the bird while he is in his cage to step up on the stick. Once he starts stepping on the stick every time you want him to then (Bring him in his cage) and take him out into a small room where there is nothing for him to get hurt on and continue his training. Remember 10-15 minutes a day training and patience and rewards when the bird obeys you and no scolding or acknowledgments for bad behavior.
