| Question about Pets:Is it okay to give a bird hamster food? |
I used to raise hamsters for a living, and I can tell you that there is nothing in hamster food that will hurt a bird. However, it will not be a diet suited to your bird, and could result in him missing some vitamins he needs if you feed it to him for a long period of time.
I would recommend the hamster food with some added fruits and veggies.
And, by the way, birds *Love * variety in their diets, and thrive on it!! We make it a point to add new things to our birds diets frequently, to make it more interesting for them.
