Question about Pets:Cockatiel help.. Once again..?

To make your own hospital cage: Make a glass front box cage 30" high, 20" wide and 20" deep. Install 2 light bulbs (60 watt) on separate switches for better temp. control and a thermometer on one side wall.
Make the bottom a tray with a screen over it (like a lot of bird cages have) and fill it with sand . (Change the sand twice a day to control growth of bad bacteria. A food and water door that is easily accessible allows you to change and refill the water frequently .
Make sure the bulbs cannot be touched by the bird or his (flammable) feathers. Use metal screen material or a glass panel between the bulbs and the bird. Drill air holes above the door and attach the roof with hinges for easier access, cleaning and cooling.
Not every cough and sneeze is life threatening and having a hospital cage on hand can allow you time to observe your bird for indications of serious illness before putting it through the stress of a vet check.
